When trying to get comfortable on a flight, your considerations should begin when you are booking your ticket. If you want some peace and quiet, try to book a seat at the front of the plane, where noise from the engine is reduced. For reduced effects of turbulence sit just above the wing. If you would like to avoid tight legroom, opt for an aisle seat.
Once you have your seat of choice, there are some things to remember:
Bring entertainment - Some long-haul planes such as the Boeing 787 Dreamliner have inbuilt entertainment systems for passengers, however, not all of them do. We suggest bringing a personal device with your choice of games movies or music to keep you entertained during your flight.
Stay hydrated - Dehydration can lead to headaches, dizziness and general fatigue. To maximise your comfort keep hydrated by taking advantage of the on-board service, or water purchased at the airport.
Move frequently - Remaining sedentary for a long time can cause an uncomfortable aching in the muscles. We suggest moving around once every while on your flight to stretch them out. Take a walk to the bathroom, or just stretch in the aisle.
