Age policy 🔞
To rent a car with Green Motion in the USA:
Minimum rental age 21+ years old.
Drivers aged 21-25: A young drivers surcharge applies (25-30 USD per day).
If you are renting a car in Florida, a Senior Driver surcharge may apply if you are over the age of 70 years old. This is approximately 10 USD per day.
Rentals in Louisiana and California do not have a senior driver surcharge.
Cancellation and no show policy ❌
Delayed pick ups / no show: Vehicle reservations are held for 2 hours from the time you selected on your booking. If you arrive after this time or your collection point closes in this time, then a vehicle is not assured.
Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your collection.
Make sure to check the terms and conditions of your rental agreement before making your booking.
Late fees ⏰
Green Motion give a grace period of 59 minutes after your selected drop-off time for late returns.
Any rental that is returned after this 59-minute grace period will be charged an additional fee, which will be withdrawn from the card provided for your security deposit.
Does Green Motion charge for additional drivers? 👫
Yes, Green Motion charges 15.99 USD per day for additional drivers.
Some exclusions may apply for spouses (please see individual rental agreements for more details)

Do I need an International Driving Permit (IDP) to rent a car with Green Motion in the USA?
It is recommended to have an IDP if your driving license is not in either English or Roman script. For example, if it is in Chinese, an IDP is recommended.
Can you book one-way rentals with Green Motion?
Green Motion does offer one-way car rentals for an additional fee.
However, not all locations offer one-way rentals, so make sure to check the availability of your pick-up and drop-off locations to see if they offer one-way rentals.
How long can I rent a car with Green Motion?
Green Motion offers both short-term and long-term rentals that can last over a few days or weeks, all the way up to 18 months under Green Motion Flex agreements.
Rental extensions: An extension is generally available but cannot exceed 30 days without a new rental agreement.
What happens if I lose or damage my keys?
If you lose or damage your rental car's keys, you will be charged for their replacement/repair.
Can I pay for Green Motion rentals with a debit card?
At Alternative Airlines, you can! When you get to checkout, choose your debit card of choice from options like Visa and Mastercard to pay for your rental costs with a debit card.
Important note: You will still be required to have a valid credit card in the renter's name to take out a rental with Green Motion. A credit card is needed for your security deposit, which is taken when you pick up your vehicle from your chosen destination.
